The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was massive and very comfortable. The hotel itself is very grand and has a classic feel. Their breakfast was extremely tasty and flavourful. Would stay here again and recommend to others to go if you're looking for a tucked away romantic escape. Even though the hotel is in a popular location you do feel as if you're somewhere remote and private. Like a personal haven.

I like the elements of history available around the hotel. The staff were always welcoming. The restaurant service was impeccable, a lovely dining experience and of course the food was superb. We enjoyed the hotel's thermal journey - this was a lovely addition to the experience. Beautiful location, well kept.

The room was excellent, very spacious with a wonderful view of the sea. Very warm and beautifully decorated. Super shower and bath. Extremely comfortable. Breakfast was super with delicious fresh fruit, pastries and hot buffet, fully catered for gluten free diet. As we took our dog, we sat in the bar to eat, where we got excellent service - we could have been forgotten! The staff were so friendly and efficient and made a fuss of the dog. Dinner was also delicious. Extensive menu. So many things I could have chosen. Again we sat in the bar with dog and service was excellent. Bar staff also very friendly and helpful.

We love this hotel, it is full of character, the staff are friendly and the rooms cosy. With a wonderful open fire in reception at this time of year adding to the warm atmosphere. The room was cosy, the bed comfortable and we had all we needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice and our evening meal was delicious! My husband and I also treated ourselves to a spa time and massage. So relaxing and my massage was truly wonderful... Just a perfect couple of nights. Thank you!

There's a lot of history and exceptional building skills/architecture in this hotel making it a wonderful location for a Wedding/ Wedding Reception with integrated accommodation for that function; that's brilliant if you attending a function here

The hotel was gorgeous and there was lots of facilities available - gym/spa/restaurant. Although we didnt use the spa because we had a hot tub outside our chalet which was easy to use and worked very well. We had a chalet which felt private as though we didn't have anyone else around, including the hot tub which was a priority for us as we wanted to feel comfortable using it. The chalet was modern with everything you needed inside, very cosy and comfortable furniture. We'd have liked to stay for much longer.

The views over Morecambe Bay were excellent from our bedroom, and restaurant. The bedroom was very comfortable. This is a beautiful old hotel, with dark wood panelling. The lounge and Library provided us with somewhere to sit and read. It has extensive gardens to the front, and plenty of parking. A perfect location for South Lakes, and South Cumbrian Coast.

We liked everything.. We had a lovely comfortable room with a superb view. Nice big bathroom. Good meals. The recption staff were very welomng and helpful. On the whole the staff in the dining room at dinner time were good. Service good. The location was fantastic and we didn't take the car out at all during our stay.
